Terms

  1. Passport copies must be in colour. Please ensure the original passport has been signed. If you do not hold a passport please contact us to discuss alternatives.
  2. Any certified copy of a document must be either notarised or certified as a true copy of a sighted original and must contain wording to that effect. The person certifying the document must be an independent registered professional such as a notary, attorney, CPA or justice of the peace. If none of these are available please contact us for alternative certifiers.
  3. Proof of residential address must include the address where the roleholder actually lives and must be dated within the last three months. Acceptable examples include utility bills or bank statements. Documents provided by a bank or utility company in pdf format may be acceptable as originals.
  4. For every Nevis entity each roleholder must also provide:
    • A copy of a bank statement which bears their name and address and is dated within the last three months. There is no need to notarise this and any sensitive information may be redacted if desired. If a bank statement has been provided as a proof of residence then there is no need to provide an additional one.
    • A letter from an attorney, CPA or other regulated professional confirming their professional or personal relationship with the roleholder. We can provide sample wording for this if you wish. If obtaining such a letter is problematic please let us know.
  5. A trust beneficiary (other than the settlor/grantor) is only required to provide documentation where they become entitled to a fixed distribution, or where they request a discretionary distribution. A foundation beneficiary must provide full due diligence in similar circumstances but only if a Southpac company is acting as a Foundation Council or Board Member and is involved in making the distribution.
  6. If any of the documents to be provided are not in the English language please contact us first so that we can confirm if a certified translation is required.
