Josh Bhageerutty

Josh joined Southpac in March 2022 as a Paralegal. In this role, he assists Southpac’s in-house legal team by providing legal, drafting, and administrative support on various trust and company matters. He also assists clients with a varied range of transactional work.

Josh holds more than 5 years of professional experience within the offshore trustee and corporate services sector as well as in the financial services and banking sectors. Prior to joining Southpac, he has worked as a Senior Corporate & Trust Relationship Officer and Associate Trust Relationship Manager servicing clients in jurisdictions including Mauritius, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jersey, UAE, Saint Vincent & Grenadines, Seychelles, Hong Kong, South Africa, Singapore, UK, US and parts of Europe.

Josh is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence Law – regulating algorithmic trading in investment from an international law perspective at the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. In 2018, he earned his Masters in Corporate Law (LL.M) with Merit and 2014, a BA (Hons) Law & Management. He is a bilingual French & English speaker and has a strong focus on building client relationships.
